To kick off the month of August, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma. Julieta B. Borres delivered an inspiring message during the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) Enhancement Program held today, August 3, 2026.

Anchored on the theme, "Connecting through Humanity: Strengthening Mental Health Support and Student Affairs Personnel Engagement in Higher Education," Dr. Borres emphasized the vital role of student affairs professionals in fostering inclusive, compassionate, and student-centered learning environments. She encouraged participants to continue championing mental health initiatives and collaborative engagement in advancing student welfare and holistic development.

The activity reaffirmed Bicol University's commitment to promoting student well-being through compassionate and responsive student services. Together, we continue to build a supportive academic community where every learner can thrive.

In line with the University's commitment to academic excellence and institutional readiness, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs conducted an online meeting with the Academic Deans and Directors this morning (July 31, 2026).

The meeting served as a venue to discuss the current enrollment status across the colleges, preparations for the Faculty Enhancement Program, updates on the College and University Student Orientation, and other matters essential to the successful opening of classes.

Through continuous collaboration and shared leadership, Bicol University strengthens it's commitment in providing good quality education, and meaningful learning experiences for all students.

BU-OVPAA and BU Tabaco welcomed the Joint Inspection and Monitoring Team composed of representatives from the Commission on Higher Education – Office of Programs and Standards Development (CHED-OPSD) Technical Panel and the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) yesterday, June 28, 2026.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma. Julieta B. Borres delivered a message of support, reaffirming Bicol University's steadfast commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in higher education.

The joint inspection and monitoring served as a valuable opportunity for constructive dialogue, validation of institutional practices, and the exchange of insights toward enhancing program quality and compliance with CHED and PRC standards.

The Bicol University community extends its sincere appreciation to the CHED-OPSD Technical Panel and the Professional Regulatory Board for their guidance and continued partnership in advancing quality higher education.
