As the nation commemorates the 128th Philippine Independence Day, we honor the historic declaration of Philippine independence on June 12, 1898. This significant occasion reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and deep love for country of the heroes who fought for our nation's freedom.

The freedom we enjoy today is the result of the struggles and sacrifices of Filipinos who were willing to give their lives for the future of the nation. Through their bravery, the spirit of patriotism continues to live on and serves as a guiding light for every generation.

May Independence Day inspire us to deepen our love for our country, cherish the freedom we have earned, and work together toward a more progressive, just, and brighter future for all.

In reverent celebration of academic triumph and spiritual grace, the Bicol University Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Recreation honors its graduating class through a solemn Baccalaureate Mass today June 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Cathedral Parish, Old Albay, Legazpi City.

As we mark this significant milestone, may this sacred gathering serve as a moment of thanksgiving and reflection, a collective walk of faith as our graduates prepare to embark on the next chapter of their intellectual, personal, and spiritual journey.

Please be informed of the screening process for students applying for admission to the Institute of Physical Education, Sports, and Recreation (IPESR) under the Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences (BSESS) program.

Please bring the following:
• Photocopy of BUCET Result
• Please bring copies of all relevant certificates supporting your achievements in sports, dance, fitness-related events and activities.
• Medical Certificate (Issued by a private or public physician)
• Appropriate Fitness Attire (e.g., rubber shoes, t-shirts, jogging pants, or athletic shorts)
• Extra Clothes
• Bottled Water and Packed Meals for snacks and Lunch

STEP 3: INTERVIEW
• Assessment of academic readiness, passion for the field, and overall alignment with the program's goals.

STEP 4: Tagging as screened applicant
• The evaluation panel will officially update your application status in the system as a screened applicant.

STEP 5: CONFIRMATION OF SLOT
• The list of qualified applicants will be officially posted on the Official BU IPESR page.
