Course Title: Christian Counseling

Course Description:

This course provides an introduction to the theory and practice of Christian counseling, integrating biblical principles with established counseling techniques. Students will explore foundational topics such as human nature, spiritual formation, emotional and mental health, and the role of the Holy Spirit in the counseling process. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the counselor’s role in offering hope, healing, and guidance rooted in Scripture. Key topics include counseling ethics, crisis intervention, family dynamics, forgiveness, addiction, grief, and spiritual discernment. Students will also gain practical skills in listening, empathy, and pastoral care, equipping them to counsel individuals, couples, and families from a biblical worldview.
