On April 16, 2026, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU‑D) and Placement International formally sealed a collaborative partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement Signing Ceremony to strengthen the global employability and career readiness of DLSU‑D students and alumni.
The partnership creates opportunities for international internships, management training programs, and career opportunities in the global luxury hospitality industry, including placements at prestigious hotels and restaurants across the United States and other key destinations.
With over a decade of expertise, Placement International continues to connect aspiring talents with world‑class hospitality brands and leading international hotel chains.
The signing ceremony was attended by university leaders, including Dr. Jesus Medina, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Vice Provost for Academics; Dr. Nornelyn Cachuela, Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations; Dr. Irene Gueco, Director of the Linkages and Scholarship Office; and Mr. Julius Tibayan, Director for Advancement and Alumni Relations. Placement International was represented by CEO Thomas Riveyran, Sherrina Cuenca, Business and Partnership Development, and Ms. DayAnn Moreno, Placement Specialist (Philippines).
Following the ceremony, there was a focused discussion with the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) to reinforce the shared mission of providing students with global exposure, hands-on experience, and meaningful career pathways. Opportunities range from positions in five-star hotels such as Sofitel Manhattan, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and The Ritz-Carlton, to roles in Michelin-starred restaurants in New York City, Chicago, and Miami.
This partnership aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8 ) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
