Ngayong araw, ginugunita natin ang buhay at alaala ni Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr. at ang tapang na ipinakita niya sa pagtatanggol sa sambayanang Pilipino at sa mga prinsipyong kanyang pinanindigan.

Ipinapaalala sa atin ng kanyang kuwento na ang kalayaan at demokrasya ay hindi lamang mga pribilehiyo, kundi mga pagpapahalagang dapat nating pangalagaan at ipaglaban. Nawaโ€™y patuloy tayong inspirasyon ng kanyang sakripisyo upang piliin ang katapangan kaysa pananahimik, manindigan para sa tama, at maglingkod sa ating bansa nang may integridad.
