Healthcare for women should never be treated as an option, nor should it be compromised or undermined. It is a fundamental right that must remain accessible, protected, and prioritized at all times — especially during crises. ❤️🩹⚕️
On May 28, we observed and celebrated the International Day of Action for Women’s Health. We recognize that strengthening healthcare systems means strengthening the lives, dignity, and futures of women everywhere. 🌍👩⚕️✨
From reproductive healthcare to equitable medical treatment, every woman deserves access to safe, inclusive, and people-centered care.
⚡ Trivia ⚡
Did you know? Historically, women were routinely excluded from many clinical trials and medical studies. In 1993, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Revitalization Act formally required the inclusion of women in NIH-funded clinical research to ensure treatments and medications were properly studied across sexes. (Mastroianni et al., 1999)
