There are several stories that remain memorable due to their words while others become even more unforgettable after we finally meet the minds who wrote them.

𝐁𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔): 𝐏𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭📖🌙

STOP DOOM SCROLLING‼️🚨

Hey Regals! It's time to put down your phone and grab your favorite book! It's Book Lovers Day!!!📚✨

Fun Trivia About National Book Lovers Day:

It is celebrated every year on August 9! It is an unofficial holiday with an unknown exact origin and creator. Despite this, it encourages people to take a break, breathe, pick up a book, and relax while celebrating bookworms around the world!

Here are some tips to make your Book Lovers Day memorable:

1. Explore a New Genre: Try something outside your comfort zone, like non-fiction, classics, or sci-fi, and you might discover a new favorite!

2. Bookstore Crawl: Visit an indie bookstore or library and pick a book based purely on its cover.

3. BYOB Picnic: Bring Your Own Book outdoors with friends and snacks. (The golden rule: no talking when someone is in the middle of a good chapter!)

4. Share Your Thoughts: Write a review, post about your favorite reads, or connect with other readers on Goodreads or social media.

5. Flex Your Bookish Merch: Wear your favorite reader graphic tee or pin and spot fellow bookworms out in the wild!

In commemoration of Book Lovers Day, it is important to acknowledge that reading is not just about studying or a boring hobby. It actually comes with helpful benefits, especially for students. Reading can help reduce stress, improve memory and focus, strengthen critical thinking and vocabulary, and boost empathy by helping us understand different perspectives. It can also help you relax and improve your sleep, especially when reading a physical book before bed.

So, what are you waiting for, Regals? Pick up a book and start reading now! Enjoy the magic of reading while feeling the cozy weather! 📖🌧️

There is an instance in life when a student comes to understand the fact that 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬. At times, growing up requires courage to confront different uncertainties, choose difficult things, and find the power to move on. Last July 15 and 16, we had the chance to meet so many freshmen at our Heartstopper-inspired booth. Thank you to everyone who dropped by, joined our activities, bought from our members, and showed interest in becoming part of BOOKLOD. Seeing so many people who share the same love for books made the event even more memorable.

We would also like to thank the KLD Central Student Government for giving BOOKLOD the opportunity to be part of Freshmen Walk 2026. It gave us the chance to introduce our club to the new REGALS. Thank you as well to the different student organizations that supported and helped us throughout the event.

A special thank you to our adviser Ma'am Yna and the College Learning Commons (CLC) for your continuous guidance and support. And of course, thank you to every BOOKLOD member whose time, effort, and teamwork made our very first Freshmen Walk a success.

To all the freshmen who visited our booth, talked with us, joined the fun, and signed up to become part of BOOKLOD, thank you! We can't wait to meet you again at our upcoming Orientation and General Assembly.

See you at our next event, REGALS! Thank you once again, and welcome to the BOOKLOD family!
