๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | The City College of Davao conducted a coordination meeting with concerned city offices regarding the development of the permanent site of the City College of Davao located in Barangay Bago Oshiro, Davao City.

The meeting was led by Dr. Wenefredo E. Cagape, College President, together with the CCD Administration and representatives from the Office of the City Building Official (OCBO), City Engineerโ€™s Office (CEO), Davao City Housing Office (DCHO), City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), Interim Office of the City Architect (IOCA), and the City Legal Office (CLO).

Discussions focused on the projectโ€™s current updates, existing challenges, and proposed ways forward for the continuous development of the future CCD campus.

Held on May 12, 2026 at the CCD BOT Room, the meeting signifies another important step toward realizing a more progressive and conducive learning environment for future generations of CCDians.

๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” | The faculty and staff of City College of Davao gathered for a Syllabi Evaluation and Revision Workshop aimed at ensuring that course contents remain aligned, relevant, and responsive to the needs of our students and the standards set by CHED.

The workshop was graced by the College President, Dr. Wenefredo E. Cagape, whose message emphasized the institutionโ€™s commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.

This was followed by the presentation of the SIMS Workshop by Mr. Wendell F. Galgo, leading into the collaborative syllabi evaluation and revision sessions. Faculty members then participated in breakout discussions per program to address departmental concerns and further enhance instructional delivery and curriculum development.

In the afternoon, Dr. Minerva Fabros shared valuable insights on effective and innovative teaching strategies that inspire meaningful learning experiences in todayโ€™s educational landscape.

On May 7, the City College of Davao Social Hall buzzed with ideas and insights as our Bachelor of Early Childhood Education students showcased their research outputs during LAMBO 2026. Anchored on the theme โ€œAdvancing Innovation through Evidence-Based Research and Collaborative Inquiry,โ€ the event paved the way for our student researchers to contribute to the future of Early Childhood Education.

The event was also graced by Dr. Wenefredo E. Cagape, College President; Dr. Edroslyn J. Fernandez, BECEd Program Head; and Dr. Ida G. Tudy, Research and Extension Coordinator.

Behind every presentation were months of dedicationโ€”late nights of writing, refining, defending, and rethinking ideasโ€”all driven by a shared commitment to improve Early Childhood Education. At its core, LAMBO is not just a presentation event. It is about Leading Advancements and Mobilizing Breakthrough Opportunities in the field we serve.

๐ˆ๐‚๐˜๐Œ๐ˆ | The City College of Davao Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program buzzed with activity during the three-day Entrepreneurship Day, held on April 21-23, 2026 with the theme, "From Seed to Success: Cultivating the Start-up Spirit."

Dr. Luzviminda N. Ates, BSE Program Head, delivered the opening remarks, and Dr. Wenefredo E. Cagape, the College President, offered inspiring and empowering messages for the aspiring young entrepreneurs.

The City Economic Enterprise head, Mr. Maximo P. Macalipes Jr., led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, assisted by Dr. Wenefredo E. Cagape and Dr. Edroslyn J. Fernandez, together with administration and faculty members.

One of our BSE faculty, Ms. Joy G. Politico, CPA, enlightened the students with a financial literacy talk. The three-day event wrapped up with awards for Best in Presentation, Packaging, and Innovation. The organizers thanked the Mayorโ€™s Office, , City Economic Enterprise, City Tourism, and Councilors Ragde Ibuyan and J. Melchor Quitain Jr. The event showcased the students' creativity and enthusiasm.
