AAK Davao Cup Karatedo Championship 2025

The Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia (CCSA) successfully hosted the AAK Davao Cup Karatedo Championship on November 29, 2025, held at the CCSA Gymnasium. This highly anticipated martial arts event brought together promising athletes from various provinces and cities across Mindanao, all determined to showcase their skills, discipline, and sportsmanship in the competitive arena.
The activity was spearheaded by CCSA through its Sports Development Office in collaboration with AAK Davao, with the full support of the administration, coaches, and student-athletes. The event aimed not only to strengthen camaraderie among participating schools and clubs but also to promote excellence in the field of Karatedo within the region.
The competition featured several categories, each demonstrating the athletes’ mastery of kata and kumite. Participants displayed outstanding discipline, precision, and determination—attributes that highlight the essence of martial arts training.
The CCSA Karatedo Team competed with passion and exceptional skill, resulting in an impressive medal haul that brought pride and honor to the institution. The team garnered a total of eight (8) medals, composed of:
Jet Lu: 3 – Gold, 1 Bronze
Charles David Ferrer: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
Geshane T. Dabalos: 1 gold, 1 Bronze

• 🥉 3 Bronze Medals
These achievements reflect the team’s continuous hard work, rigorous training, and unwavering dedication guided by their coaches. The victory also stands as a testament to CCSA’s commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes and advancing sports excellence within the campus.
The event concluded with awarding ceremonies and expressions of gratitude to all participating teams, organizers, officials, and supporters who contributed to the success of the championship.
