𝐔𝐒𝐞𝐏-𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
In pursuit of knowledge through research, Bachelor of Science in Development Anthropology (BSDA) students from the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) successfully presented their research and contributed to the facilitation of 𝘈𝘕𝘛𝘏𝘙𝘖𝘍𝘈𝘐𝘙 2025: 4𝘵𝘩 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, held via Zoom on April 25–26, 2025.
The event was organized by the Mindanawon Anthropological Society of Ateneo de Davao University (MASA), in partnership with the University of the Philippines Anthropological Society.
Aiming to demystify the nature of research presentations, the activity encouraged healthy discourse on diverse research themes that highlighting critical thinking and academic writing skills among participants.
The BSDA students who proudly presented their research abstracts were 𝑹𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑩𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒏 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏, 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝑳𝒐𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒂, 𝑫𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒆 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔, 𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑮𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒂, and 𝑵𝒊𝒌𝒌𝒂 𝑱𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑹𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒛, they submitted recorded presentations and actively participated in the Open Forum sessions during the conference.
Behind the successful ex*****on of the event were 𝑹𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑮𝒊𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒐, 𝑨𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒈𝒂, 𝑹𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐, 𝑲𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒐, and 𝑹𝒖𝒆𝒍 𝑰𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒄, who assisted in various facilitation roles.
Together, these students showcased the essence of Development Anthropology by excelling in research and contributing to academic discourse not just within their university, but beyond.
