Last November 26, 2025, BSMA students gathered at the UM Auditorium, DPT Building for the BSMA Career Summit: Real-World Applications in Management Accounting — an afternoon filled with practical CMA guidance, real-life experiences, and motivating insights from seasoned professionals in the field.

Sir Cedric Ian Carlo E. Petalcorin, CPA, MBA opened the event with his warm and inspiring remarks. This was followed by our motivating first speaker, Sir Gildon Pamittan, CMA, LSSGB, who shared his journey, the opportunities that came with earning the CMA title, and the challenges he faced along the way. He also offered valuable advice on how to overcome these struggles. Moreover, Sir Jovit G. Cain, CPA, US CMA, DBA, enriched the summit with insightful stories from his own CMA path, including the obstacles he encountered and the lessons he gained from them. To conclude the event, Ma’am Myra T. Miraflores, CPA, MSA, expressed her gratitude to our beloved speakers and every BSMA student who participated with eagerness and enthusiasm.

We leave with new knowledge, stronger motivation, and a clearer direction toward our professional and CMA goals. 💙

𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱: 𝗕𝗦𝗠𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗻-𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆!

The 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦) kicked off the academic year with an energetic 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, at the 𝗨𝗠 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺, 𝗗𝗣𝗧 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. Uniting all BSMA students under the theme “𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺: 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲,” the event marked a strong start for the MASS community.

The program opened with an inspiring message from 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗧. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗦𝗔, MASS Adviser, motivating students to embrace growth and new opportunities.

A key highlight was the 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵-𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 of the newly elected MASS officers and committees, who pledged their commitment to leadership and service. The presentation of MASS goals, objectives, and the Annual Operational Plan further outlined the organization’s vision for the year.

Excitement filled the venue during the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀, where BSMA students showcased teamwork and enthusiasm. Special congratulations to the 𝟰𝘁𝗵-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗦𝗠𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 for their impressive back-to-back victories! 💙

The assembly also featured an engaging 𝗤&𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 with 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗮𝗻 𝗘. 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, addressing student concerns and promoting open dialogue. He then delivered uplifting closing remarks, encouraging everyone to sustain the momentum for the year ahead.

Here’s to another year of 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 — together as one 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆! 💙
