Build a safe and fair workplace for all.

The whole-day seminar on Gender Sensitivity and Harassment in the Workplace was successfully conducted last March 2, 2026 at the CBA Computer Laboratory from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The activity gathered student-interns for an in-depth discussion on fostering inclusive, safe, and professional environments in preparation for their future careers.

The morning session was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Mr. Genesisly R. Tahoy, who discussed Theories Explaining Gender Sensitivity in the Workplace, Common Gender Biases in the Workplace, and What to Observe in the Workplace. His discussion emphasized the importance of fairness, professionalism, and cultivating a gender-sensitive mindset in organizational settings.

In the afternoon session, Level II Law Student Practitioners Mr. Vincent Ian F. Ledres and Ms. Adrianne F. Tobias delivered comprehensive discussions on Republic Act No. 7877, or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995, and Republic Act No. 11313, or the Safe Spaces Act. The speakers highlighted the legal framework, key distinctions between the two laws, and the duties and responsibilities of individuals and institutions in preventing gender-based sexual harassment in workplaces, public spaces, and online platforms.

The seminar concluded with an engaging activity that allowed participants to apply their learning through practical scenarios.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished speakers for sharing their knowledge and reinforcing the importance of creating respectful and inclusive communities.

Some of the key roles Financial Management students will take on in the future, once they graduate and become part of the corporate industry include recording daily financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling bank accounts, processing payroll, preparing financial reports, and ensuring proper cash flow management. These responsibilities require strong bookkeeping skills and technical competence.

To prepare the BSBA 4 interns for their Bookkeeping NC III assessment, they attended their fifth seminar,
“𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝘾 𝙄𝙄𝙄: 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜,”
conducted by their esteemed Program Head and Practicum Adviser, 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙉𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙤, on February 26, 2026, at the CBA Computer Laboratory, University of Southeastern Philippines – Obrero Campus.

The seminar provided essential knowledge and practical guidance to help students successfully pass the Bookkeeping NCIII assessment and become certified bookkeepers.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Sir Nash Reginio for always providing what is best for his students. His guidance, expertise, and continuous efforts to equip us with the knowledge and skills necessary for our future are truly invaluable. We are deeply grateful for his dedication toward our growth and excellence.

‎Before a word is spoken, the 55% visual already speaks—reminding us that professionalism begins with what people see, supported by how we speak and what we say.

‎The BSBA 4 interns took part in a meaningful seminar on “Professionalism in the Hybrid Era: Personal Grooming and Office Etiquette” held on February 24, 2026 at the CBA - Computer Laboratory, University of Southeastern Philippines – Obrero Campus.

‎The seminar featured two speakers who shared valuable insights on key aspects of professionalism. Dr. Sharon L. Binoya discussed the concept of personal grooming and professional image, emphasizing the three components of image—visual presentation, vocal tone, and verbal communication. Meanwhile, Ms. Stephanie F. Palconit provided an in-depth discussion on office etiquette, highlighting proper workplace manners, behavior, and professional conduct.

‎Through this session, the interns gained practical knowledge on presenting themselves appropriately and communicating effectively in a professional environment.

‎We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Sharon L. Binoya and Ms. Stephanie F. Palconit for sharing their expertise and for guiding our interns toward becoming confident and workplace-ready professionals.

Service excellence begins with people, understanding them, valuing their experiences, and serving with genuine sincerity. This was the heart of the recently concluded 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐅𝐁𝐒𝐄) 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, attended by the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

Throughout the training, students were able to reflect on what Filipino hospitality truly means in real-life situations. More than techniques and procedures, the discussions highlighted the importance of empathy, accountability, and professionalism, especially when handling challenges and difficult moments in service. It became clear that excellent service is not about perfection, but about intention, character, and a sincere willingness to help others.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐮𝐳𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐂. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐨 for her inspiring guidance and meaningful insights, which motivated students to serve with confidence, compassion, and pride in Filipino values.
We also commend the organizing group and facilitators for their dedication and teamwork in making this training both meaningful and impactful.
