On December 12, 2025, the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Management Accounting successfully conducted its CPA Testimonial entitled 𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. The event featured newly licensed Certified Public Accountants who generously shared their experiences, challenges, and triumphs in overcoming the CPA Licensure Examination.

Their honest and inspiring stories motivated aspiring CPAs and gave them practical tips on how to stay focused and resilient throughout the review process.

Following the sharing session, the event was honored by the presence of the 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐒. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, who delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude to the CPAs for inspiring the next generation of accounting professionals. She also encouraged the students to remain committed to their goals and to believe in their capabilities.

The program concluded with the closing remarks delivered by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐇. 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢, 𝐂𝐏𝐀, 𝐌𝐁𝐀, who thanked the speakers and participants for making the event meaningful and successful. 𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 served as a celebration of perseverance, excellence, and hope for future CPAs as they continue their journey toward professional success.

Last November 22–23, 2025, the JPIA–JMCFI Chapter proudly participated in the NFJPIA Regional Academic Festival. After two days of intense competitions, teamwork and excellence, our chapter once again proved its strength, bringing home the Overall 2nd Runner-Up title for the third year in a row.

This achievement reflects the hard work of our delegates, the support of our coaches and the unwavering dedication of the entire JPIA–JMCFI family.

𝐀𝐂𝐃 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐎𝐁𝐄: 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

In the spirit of this year’s theme, “𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧,” representatives from the Assumption College of Davao (ACD) Batch 1980 Alumni Association and the College of Business Education (COBE) gathered for a coordination meeting to finalize plans for the upcoming Christmas outreach program for the residents of the Co Su Gian Home for the Aged.

The meeting was held on October 30, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The French Baker, SM Lanang, and was attended by Ms. Judith P. Magnaye, Representative of ACD Batch 1980 Alumni, two alumnae members, and Ms. Laydan Esguerra, representing the COBE interns. The gathering embodied the essence of the ALIMA program—care, collaboration, and community engagement—as both parties came together to ensure a meaningful and well-coordinated event.

The discussion focused on the program flow and logistical preparations for the Christmas activity. It was agreed that the COBE interns will oversee the program content, including organizing the performances and preparing personalized gifts for each of the residents. Meanwhile, the ACD ’80 alumnae committed to providing the residents’ snacks and essential supplies to be distributed during the visit.

Although no photographs were taken during the meeting, the shared enthusiasm and spirit of generosity among the attendees were evident. The collaborative exchange reflected the values of ALIMA—nurturing compassion, fostering partnerships, and extending care beyond the classroom.

This meeting marks the start of a meaningful collaboration that bridges generations of JMCFI and ACD communities in celebrating the season of giving. Guided by the theme “Caring Together, Giving with Compassion,” the activity promises not only to bring joy to the elderly residents of Co Su Gian but also to remind everyone involved of the true essence of Christmas—sharing care and compassion from the heart.

Workshop on Application Letter and Résumé Writing
October 7, 2025 | 1:00–4:00 PM | Cabantian Stand-Alone National High School

The College of Business Education (COBE), through its Alima: Adopt-a-School Project, successfully conducted its first Senior High School workshop on Application Letter and Résumé Writing on October 7, 2025, at the Cabantian Stand-Alone National High School. The half-day session ran from 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon and was facilitated by COBE faculty and student volunteers.

The workshop provided participants with both conceptual understanding and practical application of writing professional application letters and résumés that effectively communicate one’s qualifications and increase employability. Students were guided through the technical aspects of writing—organization, tone, and content—while also reflecting on how these documents represent their personal strengths and career aspirations.

Throughout the session, the students were highly interactive and engaged, actively participating in discussions and exercises. They worked on their own application letters and résumés, which were later displayed on a designated bulletin board exhibit for a gallery walk activity. Each participant was asked to place a star on the best outputs they found inspiring and well-written. Two exemplary entries for both the application letter and résumé categories were recognized and given commendations.

The workshop concluded with a sense of fulfillment and inspiration. It not only achieved its learning objectives—to equip students with practical job application skills—but also motivated both facilitators and learners to value professionalism, confidence, and self-improvement. The activity marked a successful start to COBE’s series of capacity-building workshops for its partner senior high schools.
