The Philippine Women's College of Davao (PWC) is a private non-stock, non-profit, nonsectarian, coeducational institution founded in 1953 by Dr. Conrado Benitez and Dr. Francisca Tirona Benitez. PWC's education centers on spiritual growth, moral character, civic awareness, and academic ability, alongside a deliberate emphasis on cultural identity โ€” a balance between forming well-rounded citizens and staying rooted in where students come from. The campus sits on seven hectares in the heart of Juna Subdivision, Matina, Davao City.

Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) Day 2026 took over the RSM Events Center with PWC Tertiary Education students singing, dancing, quizzing, and teaching their way through the afternoon.
The lineup included the Vocal Duet, Quiz Bee, Teaching Demonstration, Mr. and Ms. Fit & Fab, Danza en Cuatro, and the GEPE 001 Dancercise Showdown. Faculty and students also joined in with special performance numbers.
Congratulations to every participant and to the Bachelor of Physical Education program for a well-run celebration!

PWC Basic Education Department held its PTA General Assembly for SY 2026-2027, themed "Stronger Together for Our Learners' Tomorrow."
Attendees gathered to review school-year reports and plans and strengthen the school-parent partnership. The assembly also marked the transition of PTA leadership, with outgoing officers recognized and leadership formally turned over to the new set of officers for SY 2026-2027.

TED Mental Health Symposium 2026 Highlights | PWC college students from both the Regular and Evening Programs came together for "Thriving in Transition: Promoting Self-Development and College Adjustment," led by resource speaker Arden Jake M. Abadiez, RPm.
The session gave students practical insights and guidance on navigating the challenges and opportunities of college life.

Basic Life Support Seminar-Workshop | The Philippine Women's College of Davao, through the National Service Training Program (NSTP), conducted a Basic Life Support Seminar-Workshop at the RSM Events Center. The session equipped PWC college students with essential knowledge and skills in responding to medical emergencies, guided by facilitators Joy Grace S. Alfeche and fellow Red Cross volunteers.
From proper chest compressions to recognizing signs of cardiac arrest, participants left with hands-on training that could one day help save a life.
Our thanks to the Red Cross facilitators for sharing their expertise, and to our students for their active participation in this meaningful learning experience!

The Philippine Womenโ€™s College of Davao Grade 5 and 6 pupils participated in the Fire Square Roadshow 2026 at SM City Davao, gaining valuable knowledge on fire safety, prevention, rescue, and emergency preparedness.

Through interactive activities and demonstrations, our young learners gained essential skills to stay safe and respond during emergencies.

Under the theme "Adjust, Adapt, Achieve: Building Resilience for School and Life," Resource Speaker Arden Jake M. Abadiez, RPm, led the discussion.
The activity explored the importance of adaptability, self-awareness, and resilience in navigating challenges both inside and outside the school.
Mental health is something we take seriously at PWC. Thank you to our SHS learners for showing up.

Drills like this remind us that preparedness isn't optional.
