ADVISORY | Temporary Shift to Online Learning

In view of ongoing campus safety and security measures, Ateneo de Davao University will temporarily implement online learning for both the Higher Education and Basic Education Units.

HIGHER EDUCATION, including the College of Law

Classes will shift to online modality from August 24–29, 2026.

Undergraduate Preliminary Examinations originally scheduled during this period will be moved to August 31–September 5, 2026. RLE duties for the School of Nursing, Internship, Field Work, and Field Study will proceed as scheduled, while on-campus RLE activities will shift online. Higher Education academic offices will remain open.

BASIC EDUCATION

All Basic Education classes will continue via synchronous online learning from August 24–28, 2026. Respective school Principals will provide specific schedules, guidelines, and further instructions through official communication channels.

These temporary and precautionary measures will allow the University to continue assessing reported security concerns, strengthen campus safety protocols, and support the community's well-being and preparedness.

We ask everyone to remain calm, vigilant, and responsible. Please refrain from sharing unverified reports, posts, or screenshots that may cause unnecessary fear, and continue to monitor official University and school communication channels for updates.

Ninoy’s life reminds us that meaningful change calls for courage, hope, and a willingness to serve beyond oneself.

𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗢 𝗗𝗘 𝗭𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬

Ateneo de Davao University stands in grief and solidarity with Ateneo de Zamboanga University following the violence that struck their community.

We mourn those whose lives were lost. We pray for those who were injured, for the families of all those affected, and for the entire AdZU community.

We strongly condemn gun violence. There is no place for guns and armed violence in our schools and communities. A firearm must never become an answer to anger, conflict, grievance, or despair. We must reject any normalization of guns and violence in the lives of our young people.

Our schools must be places where human life is protected and where students can learn without fear. This tragedy reminds us that protecting these spaces requires not only prayer and solidarity but also vigilance, responsibility, and concrete action.

No to gun violence. No to weapons in our schools. No to the normalization of violence.

To our brothers and sisters at Ateneo de Zamboanga University: you are not alone. The Ateneo de Davao community stands with you in grief, prayer, and solidarity.

Last August 8, 2026, the Community Engagement and Sustainable Development Office in partnership with the Ateneo de Davao - College Admission and Aid turned over a donation to the Indigenous People's community of 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻, as part of our continuing commitment to support communities and promote meaningful environmental and social engagement.

Beyond the donation this is also a reminder that caring for our communities means showing up, sharing what we have, and building partnerships rooted in solidarity and service.

May this simple gesture contribute to the well-being of our partner community and strengthen our shared journey toward a more caring, resilient, and sustainable future.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | 𝐉𝐀𝐑𝐂 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐨 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Last July 25, 2026, CESDO, in partnership with the Ateneo de Davao University Jacinto Campus Facility Management Office, conducted a second batch of MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) and Single-Use Plastics Policy Orientation for the JARC Maintenance Personnel.

The orientation enhanced the maintenance team's understanding and ability to implement effective waste segregation, operate the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), and adhere to the University's Single-Use Plastics Policy. Their role is crucial in managing the campus environment towards promoting a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Ateneo community.

Together, we continue to promote responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.
