IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Today, the National Council issued a Notice of Expulsion from the Beta Phi Upsilon Fraternity – Lambda Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. based on its decision during its joint meeting on January 3, 2026 in Cebu City, to expel both Brod Manuel Causin and Brod Emmanuel Tuyan from the association effective February 20, 2026 due to their continued and willful commission of serious acts prejudicial to the best interests of the association and its members, viz:
1. Culpable violation of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Beta Phi Upsilon Fraternity-Lambda Phi Delta Sorority; and
2. Conduct of unauthorized activities which caused undue confusion, polarization and disunity among members.
By then, they will no longer be considered as members of the Beta Phi Upsilon Fraternity- Lambda Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. and, thus, unauthorized to represent the association and use its name, logo and symbols. Any future transaction, activity or representation made by them in any capacity for and in behalf of this fraternity-sorority will not be honored by this association.
Let it be clarified that this fraternity-sorority is the one and only Beta Phi Upsilon Fraternity-Lambda Phi Delta Sorority that is duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Intellectual Property Office (IPO). Any act of usurpation and misrepresentation will be dealt with accordingly, without prejudice to seeking the legal intervention of said agencies.
They are both given ten (10) working days to file an appeal for reconsideration by the National Council, through the Chairman of the Grievance Committee – Brod Emmanuel Alilin. Failure to do so will make this decision final and executory.
