𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗠 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 | Members of SpectrUM together with Atty. Denise Christine Lim, the SpectrUM Moderator, attended SolidUM 2026 - the UM College of Law acquaintance party, held at World Palace on October 10, 2026. The gathering brought together members of UM Law community for an evening of fellowship, camaraderie, and meaningful connections.

During the event, the new SpectrUM officers also took their oath for the Academic Year 2026–2027. The UM College of Law Assistant Dean, Ahmedsiddique Dalam administered the oath taking for all the organizations of UM Law.

The new officers for SpectrUM who took their oath are:

As we recognize the invaluable role of mentors in legal education and their contribution to shaping aspiring lawyers, SpectrUM extends its heartfelt appreciation to all the educators who dedicate their time, knowledge, and efforts to guide future members of the legal profession.

We especially recognize our coaches and moderators, Atty. Denise Christine Lim and Atty. Amir Essam Ibrahim, whose guidance and mentorship continue to help us grow in the field of moot and debate.

𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐔𝐌 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭!

The official Moot and Debate Team of the University of Mindanao - College of Law, SpectrUM, proudly sends forth its contingent to the National Intellectual Property Law Debates 2026.

With their individual strength, joining forces once again are Arjoe Marie Cabudlan, Johnrey Rollo, and Jaspher Jade Baliscao, who will represent the University of Mindanao - College of Law and battle against fellow law students from across the country.

The Preliminary Rounds will take place online tomorrow, October 2, 2026, with the teams competing for a spot in the semifinals. Those who advance will have a face-to-face showdown on October 30, 2026.

SpectrUM also extends its utmost gratitude to the UM Law Administration, headed by Dean Antonio Arellano and Assistant Dean Ahmedsiddique Dalam, coaches and moderators, Atty. Denise Christine Lim and Atty. Amir Essam Ibrahim, as well as to the faculty and the entire UM Community, for their continued support to the team and the organization.

After the recruitment process, the Official Moot and Debate Team of the University of Mindanao College of Law proudly congratulates and welcomes its newly accepted members for Academic Year 2026–2027.

The growing family of SPECTRUM is excited to welcome a new generation of members who will bring their voices, ideas, and passion to the team. As they begin this new chapter, may they find meaningful opportunities to learn and grow alongside fellow members who share the same pursuit of excellence in moot court, debate, and research.

Last Saturday, September 26, the newly accepted members were officially welcomed into the team through an orientation for new members. The orientation introduced them to SPECTRUM, its activities, expectations, and the values that guide the organization. The orientation also served as the beginning of their preparation for the competitions, academic engagements, and other events lined up for Academic Year 2026–2027.
