Pasalidahay's August screening will be featuring films from Cinemarehiyon. This will be on Aug.12 at Cinematheque Davao from 5pm-8pm. This is free admission.
This screening is in support for the Nabunturan Indie Film Exhibition for hosting this year's Cinema Rehiyon 9 at Nabunturan from August 22-27, 2017.

We had the privilege to screen the first DAVAO NGILNGIG FILMS stories way back 2012 through "Binisaya sa UIC" event. You can watch Ngilngig films again on Aug.10-11 at Cinematheque Davao from 1pm-5pm. This is free admission.

Make walls come alive and let your artistic skills shine at the SM City Davao Mural Painting Challenge at the Annex Event Center on August 14, 1PM.

•The competition is open to all Davao Artists
•The competition will be held at the Annex Event Center on August 14, 2017.
•To join the competition, a group must be composed of three (3) to a maximum of five (5) artist.
•Slots are limited; only a maximum of ten (10) groups will be able to compete.
•SM City Davao will provide the painting materials and upcycled canvass on the day of the event.
•Participants must provide their own brushes.
•Participants will paint on an 8x8 FT Canvas
•Criteria for judging will be as follows:

Artistic Appeal 40%
Interpretation of the Theme 40%
Creativity and Originality 20%
100%

•Painting must be done at the designated area at the Annex Event Center from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on August 14, 2017
•Winning entries will receive the following:

1st Place – Php 10,000.00 Cash Prize
2nd Place – Php 7,000.00 Cash Prize
3rd Place – Php 5,000.00 Cash Prize

•Announcement of winner will be on August 16, 5PM, at the South X Mouth (Open Parking C)

Celebrate National Ocean Month with us by joining our contest! Get creative and help a cause.

How to join:
1. Paint, draw, sketch—use any art medium—to create an image of your favorite marine creature or depicting a scenery of life underwater.
2. Post it on Instagram or Facebook with a caption that talks about your love for the ocean.
3. Add the hashtags .
4. Submit a link of your post via [email protected]. Contest Period is from May 5-31, 2017.

10 winners will be selected whose designs will be printed as postcards and sold in The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® stores. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Marine Conservation Philippines.
