A glimpse into the moments that marked the opening of the 19th Congress of the SSG House of Representatives at the HCDC Gymnasium. From moments of leadership and dialogue to shared experiences within the Holy Cross community, the State of the Student Address 2026 marked the beginning of another chapter in student leadership and service.

Three days of new faces, new friendships, and new experiences have brought us one step closer to feeling at home.

From discovering the campus to sharing moments with fellow Holy Crossians, 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 gave us more than just a beginning. It gave us memories that will stay with us as we continue our journey at HCDC.

The first few days may be over, but there is still so much waiting to be discovered, experienced, and remembered.

𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐 | 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

Day 2 of Jumpstart 2026 was a step toward what lies ahead. It was an opportunity for our students to learn, connect, and prepare for the next chapter of their journey at HCDC.

Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year students participated in their respective orientations, gaining insights into HCDC’s student services, academic policies, and the opportunities that await them in the academic year ahead. Beyond learning, the day also brought moments of fun and connection.

As we move beyond the beginning, may each new experience bring us closer to the community we are proud to be part of.

Another day, another step forward.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 📢

On August 13, 2026, SSG President 𝗝𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗩. 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗼 delivered the annual 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 (𝗦𝗢𝗦𝗔) at the HCDC Gymnasium, formally opening the 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗦𝗚 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 under the theme, “The Call for the 75th.”

The address reflected on the accomplishments of the student government while looking toward the work and responsibilities that lie ahead. It also highlighted the importance of student leadership, personal growth, service, compassion, and remaining grounded in what makes our community human.

As we move forward, may we continue to make meaningful use of our time in Holy Cross, develop ourselves, serve others, and remember that each of us has a place in this community.

For generations, we’ve learned, served, grown, and walked together, carrying a legacy that began in 1951 and lives on through every Holy Crossian.

Here’s to the moments we’ll always remember, the people who made them meaningful, and a legacy we’re proud to carry forward.

The Supreme Student Government – House of Representatives, 19th Congress, formally convenes for the State of the Student’s Address (SOSA): The Call for the 75th to be delivered by President Jovannie Momo, tomorrow, August 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the HCDC Gymnasium.

During this event, the SSG President will update us on how our campus is doing, what the student government has done, and their plans for the rest of the year.

All students are hereby required to attend.

Let us show up and unite as one Holy Crossian Community! 🧡⚖️

𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟏 | What a way to start! ❤️🩵🤍

Jumpstart 2026 officially began with a day filled with activities, new experiences, and opportunities for students to connect and get acquainted with the HCDC community. From the Orientation that welcomed our students into the new academic year to the Campus Hunt, Busking Session, and Larong Pinoy, Day 1 brought the campus to life.

Students got to explore more of HCDC through the Campus Hunt, connect with the people around campus, enjoy friendly competition through Larong Pinoy, and take in live performances during the Busking Session.
