UP Mindanao Mentefuwaley

UP Mindanao Mentefuwaley UP Mindanao Mentefuwaley or UPMin Mente, is the first and only LGBTQIA+ organization in the university.

The term "Mentefuwaley" is a Teduray term for "Transformation". The term "Mentefuwaley Lagey" means “one who became a man”, not "a woman who became a man" and "Mentefuwaley Libun" means “one who became a woman”, not "a man who became a woman". The Teduray introduces us the concept of "Ungendered One" wherein one's gender is discovered and developed through time and not imposed.
