Ready to represent the University beyond borders?

The External Relations and International Relations Office invites all interested Engineering students to apply for the Universiti Kuala Lumpur Cultural Exchange Program — an opportunity to experience global learning, cultural immersion, and meaningful international connections with fellow students from Malaysia.

The cultural exchange program is tentatively scheduled in the second term of the first semester of SY 2026-2027.

Through this program, participants will gain:
✨ Cross-cultural experiences
✨ International exposure and networking
✨ Opportunities for personal and professional growth
✨ A chance to showcase Filipino culture on a global platform

IN PHOTO || 4 UM STAFF ATTENDS ERASMUS+ TRAINING IN LATVIA FOR ONE WEEK 🇱🇻

Congratulations to the four UM staff members who are participating in the International Erasmus+ Staff Week at Daugavpils University in Latvia from May 18–22, 2026.

Dr. Tessie G. Miralles, Director of UM Digos College, Ms. Brigida E. Bacani, Head of the Learning and Information Center, Ms. Vanessa Jean B. Bacus, Technical Assistant of the External Relations and International Affairs Office, and Engr. Jetron J. Adtoon, Assistant Research Coordinator of the College of Engineering Education, join more than 40 staff participants from 16 countries in this one-week international training hosted by Daugavpils University. Notably, UM is the only Philippine institution participating in the program.

During their stay in Daugavpils, the participants will engage in workshops and conferences on “Intensive Latvian Culture and Language” and “Smart Borders: Digital Innovation and Security.” They will also explore the city through guided tours, while building international linkages through meetings, lectures, and networking activities with fellow participants from different countries.

IN PHOTOS || UM ERIAO CELEBRATES 11TH INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY DAY

The University of Mindanao proudly celebrates its 11th International Mobility Day, a testament to our growing commitment to global engagement and academic excellence.

This school year alone, UM has successfully sent 20 outbound students under AIMS, Erasmus+ Programme, and various bilateral exchange programs. We are also honored to host 2 inbound students from Kainan University and 1 inbound faculty member from Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, strengthening our vibrant international community.

Held last April 16, 2026, this meaningful celebration serves as a platform for returning students and faculty to share their transformative experiences abroad. The morning program highlighted insightful presentations from our exchange participants, while the afternoon comes alive with intercultural performances and showcases prepared by both outbound and foreign students, bringing diverse cultures closer to the UM community.

More than a celebration, International Mobility Day reflects our continued mission to promote internationalization through academic mobility and cultural exchange. It provides an avenue for storytelling, recognition of achievements, and the demonstration of home internationalization practices—fostering global awareness, mutual understanding, and a deeper appreciation of diversity among our students and faculty.

IN PHOTO || UM SENDS 2 CCJE STUDENTS TO INDONESIA FOR EXCHANGE PROGRAM

UM proudly sends off our two CCJE students as they embark on an exciting 3-month student exchange program at Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya in Indonesia!

Zen Dominic Gio Nabe and Juhaimen Sumala are flying to Indonesia tomorrow and will begin their student exchange journey as soon as they arrive at their host university. The students are the 5th batch of outbound students that UM sends to UBJ for a student exchange program. Last semester, UM sent 2 students from the AB English and BS Psychology programs to UBJ.

As they begin this meaningful journey, may they grow both academically and personally, build lasting connections, and represent our institution with excellence and integrity.

Congratulations on this incredible milestone! We wish you safe travels, a fruitful exchange experience, and a journey filled with discovery and success.
