𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙇𝙖𝙬 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘿𝙏𝙄-𝙐𝙈𝘾𝙇𝙀 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥

On September 7, 2024, the partnership between the Department of Trade and Industry Davao City Field Office (DTI-DCFO) and the University of Mindanao College of Legal Education (UMCLE) took a significant step forward with an impactful orientation on consumer laws and complaints procedures. This session not only deepened our law students’ grasp of Fair Trade Laws but also equipped them with practical knowledge as they embark on their duties at UMCLE’s legal aid clinic under the UM Legal Advocacy Network (ULAN).

We extend our deepest gratitude to DTI representatives Atty. Ryan Arman L. Casabar, Kevin Jun D. Nomus, Rea May V. Villota, and Marisa E. Escleto for their invaluable insights, and to the unwavering support of our Assistant Dean, Atty. Ahmedsiddique Bravo Dalam, ULAN-CLEP Supervising Lawyer, Atty. Alexandria B. Rabanes, ULAN President Thea Ellaine P. Gamad, ULAN officers, and the entire audience who made this event possible.

As we move forward, may we continue to promote fairness, transparency, and justice by putting our advocacy into meaningful action.

Last August 17, 2024, the UMCLE - Student Council held the Freshmen Seminar/Workshop which aims to prepare and better equip the incoming freshmen for the start of their law school journey.

Guest speakers Atty. Kier Joey T. Cravajal and Atty. Carloz Albert Angelo C. Lozano gave their inspirational message to the attendees and shared their law school experience. The incoming freshmen were thrilled to listen to the speakers’ advise on the ins and outs to surviving law school.
