𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | “𝐁𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭.”

On February 22, 2026, with hearts open to grace, our Junior High School students received the Sacrament of Confirmation — sealed with the Holy Spirit and strengthened for mission.

In the Ignatian way, this sacred moment is both a gift and a sending. Gift — because God freely pours His Spirit upon them. Sending — because they are called to live with deeper faith, courageous love, and generous service. Confirmation is not the end of a journey, but a beginning: an invitation to discern, to choose what leads to greater love, and to become men and women for and with others.

With deep gratitude, we thank the parents, godparents, teachers, and companions who walked with them toward this grace-filled day. May the same Spirit who anointed them continue to guide their steps, as they find God in all things and respond with generous hearts.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭: 𝐀 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬

Our students journeyed together through the Student Catechesis for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This formative experience deepened their understanding of the Holy Spirit and their call as young members of the Church. Through moments of prayer, reflection, and meaningful dialogue, they were invited to recognize that Confirmation marked not an end, but a beginning of a life lived in faith, courage, and mission.

This catechesis helped form reflective and discerning hearts, reminding our students that the Holy Spirit strengthened them to witness Christ and respond generously to God’s call in their daily lives.

🙏 With grateful hearts, we thank our parents for their trust, support, and partnership in the faith formation of their children.
💙 We also thank our students for their openness, sincerity, and active participation throughout the sessions.
May the fruits of this catechesis continue to inspire our students to live as courageous witnesses of Christ—strengthened by the Spirit and sent forth in love and service.

The Grade 7 Recollection was a meaningful invitation for our students to slow down and become more attentive to God’s loving presence—an essential step in the Ignatian journey of self-awareness and gratitude.

Anchored on the theme “𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 & 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝑮𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆,” the recollection guided our students to appreciate their unique gifts, their relationships, and the everyday blessings they often overlook. Through prayerful reflection, they were reminded that God’s love is a gift freely given—and one that calls for a response of gratitude and love for others.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our parents for your continued partnership and confidence in our formation programs. To our students, thank you for participating with openness and sincerity. Your reflections and insights revealed growing awareness of God at work in your lives. To our class moderators, thank you for being faithful companions—guiding our learners with patience, care, and an Ignatian spirit of service.
May the fruits of this recollection inspire our students to live each day more aware, more grateful, and more loving.

The Grade 8 Recollection was a sacred time of reflection rooted in the Ignatian spirit of finding God in all things. Guided by the theme 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕’𝒔 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, students were encouraged to reflect on their experiences, examine their hearts, and discern how they are being called to act with empathy, understanding, and love.

With thankful hearts, we acknowledge our students for their sincere participation, our parents for their constant partnership in formation, and our class moderators for accompanying the students with patience and care. May the grace received during this recollection continue to move our students toward compassionate action in their daily lives. 💙

With grateful hearts, we celebrate the fruits of the 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 10 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆 “𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒍: 𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒔.”

Throughout the retreat, our students were reminded that faith is lived not only in words, but in choices—choices to serve, to love, and to give more of themselves for others. In prayerful silence and meaningful conversations, they encountered the challenge to respond generously and serve with purpose.

Snapshots from the Parents’ & Godparents’ Pre-Confirmation Seminar held last January 23 & 30, 2026, as part of the ongoing Ignatian formation of Ateneo de Davao Junior High School students.

Rooted in the Ignatian tradition of cura personalis, these gatherings invited parents and godparents to pause, listen, and recognize their sacred role in accompanying our young Ateneans as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

We sincerely thank our parents and godparents for generously offering their time, presence, and openness. Your willingness to journey with us affirms that faith formation is a shared mission of the family, the school, and the Church.

More than a requirement, the seminar became a moment of discernment, discerning how to be witnesses of faith who lead through love, patience, and daily example. Together, we continue forming young persons who seek God in all things and respond with generosity, for the greater glory of God.
