The Quirino State College (QSC) in the Municipality of Diffun, Province of Quirino is converted into a state university to be known as the Quirino State University (QSU), hereinafter referred to as the University, integrating therewith the Quirino Polytechnic College (QPC) in the Municipality of Cabarroguis and the Maddela Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Municipality of Maddela, both municipa

lities located in the Province of Quirino. The University shall primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional and vocational instruction and training in the fields of arts and sciences, education, agriculture, industrial technology and engineering, information technology, business management and accountancy, tourism and hospitality management, health services, criminology, nontraditional courses and other relevant fields of study. It shall also undertake research, extension services and production activities in support of the development of the Province of Quirino and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

QSU Maddela unveils schedule for the 12th Commencement Exercises

The countdown is officially on! Quirino State Universityโ€“Maddela campus has announced the official schedule for the 12th Commencement Exercises, signaling the start of a week-long celebration of achievement, excellence, and success.

As Batch 2026 prepares for its final walk as students, all graduating candidates are advised to follow the scheduled activities from June 22 to 26, culminating in the Graduation Ceremony and Recognition Program.

Delivering a swift response to institutional needs, the Provincial Government of Quirino (PGQ), under the leadership of Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua and Congresswoman Midy N. Cua, has officially deployed heavy machinery, manpower, and vital logistical support to execute critical road leveling and grading operations at the Maddela Campus.

Provincial engineers and equipment operators are currently working on-site for the road improvement project. The intervention is designed to ensure proper drainage and help provide a safer and more convenient pathway for students, personnel, other stakeholders. The project also supports the continuous development of campus facilities.

Monitoring of the project is led by Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., University President; Dr. Leonida P. Bartolome, Campus Director for Physical Plant and Site Development; and Dr. Eduard M. Alip, Campus Administrator of Maddela.

This joint initiative demonstrates the ongoing efforts of the Provincial Government and the University to improve educational infrastructure and ensure that academic environment across Quirino remain safe, functional, and highly conducive to learning.

The University extends sincere gratitude to the Provincial Government and the Provincial Engineering Office for their continued support and active involvement in fostering a more progressive and accessible campus community.
