In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 132, issued by the Office of the President and posted on the Presidential Communications Office page, the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Chancellor announced that classes and work (except for essential offices) at UPD today, 28 August 2026, are suspended starting 1 p.m.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: ASIAN CENTER ANGARA SCHOLARSHIP

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Asian Center Angara Scholarship for the 1st Semester, A.Y. 2026–2027.

Three Scholarship Categories:
• Coursework – For students currently enrolled in coursework
• Thesis Writing Grant – For students who are in the thesis writing stage
• Travel Grant for Thesis – For students who need to travel for data gathering, fieldwork, or other thesis-related activities

Who May Apply?
Asian Center students and Tri-College PhD students

Submission Period:
August 18 to September 18, 2026
