The Metro Dumaguete College – Supreme Student Government (MDC-SSG) proudly took part in the Negros Island Region League of Student Governments Convention held on March 15, 2026, at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol Building in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. Representing MDC-SSG in this significant gathering were Hon. Roselyn P. Lorca, SSG President; Hon. Dawood Baldado Islam, CCJE Representative; Hon. Zaira Mae Petil, DTOT Representative; and Ms. Marivic Disoy Rupillo, SSG Adviser.
The convention brought together student leaders from across the Negros Island Region, fostering collaboration, unity, and a shared vision among student governments. This marked a significant step toward formally establishing the NIR League of Student Governments, bringing together representatives from Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, and Siquijor to strengthen student leadership.
More than just a gathering, the event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, strengthened partnerships, and unified action, empowering student leaders to champion student welfare and drive positive change across the region.
Together, we rise as one region united in purpose, strengthened by connection, and driven to lead the future.
