The Foundation University Law Forum Council A.Y. 2026-2027 (FULFC), under the guidance and supervision of Atty. Jesus Ramon M. Quevenco, LLM, the Dean of the College of Law and Jurisprudence and the Council's adviser, has launched Project LEXReach, a community-based justice initiative aimed to emphasize that legal education extends beyond the classroom. Our first activity under this initiative seeks to extend meaningful assistance to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) and to affirm that human dignity, compassion, and social responsibility remain integral to the administration of justice, regardless of a personโ€™s circumstances.

In full compliance with the election-period restrictions, the activity proceeded only after the Department of Social Welfare and Development secured an exemption from the prohibition under Section 261(v) of the Omnibus Election Code, in relation to COMELEC Resolution No. 11265. The exemption was recommended by the COMELEC Law Department through Memorandum No. 26-04824 dated 17 September 2026 and was approved by the Honorable Chairman George Erwin M. Garcia. This allowed the lawful distribution of food packs and the conduct of the outreach within the covered social welfare and services programs of the DSWD.

Today, we are proud to share that the first activity under Project LEXReach was successfully conducted at the Mabinay Municipal Jail together with our partners, was able to reach the PDL currently housed there, including those temporarily transferred from Manjuyod District Jail.

We extend our deepest gratitude to:

-DSWD-NIR for the partnership and for providing the food packs;
-LGU Mabinay, particularly through Councilor Ejian Uy, for the valuable support and coordination; and
-BJMP Mabinay Municipal Jail and BJMP Manjuyod District Jail, under the leadership of JINSP DOMINADOR P AMALLA and JINSP GLENN B BLANCO, for warmly welcoming the FULFC delegation and ensuring the orderly and secure conduct of the activity.

This is only the first of many activities under Project LEXReach. The Council remains committed to continuing this initiative and to creating more opportunities for service, solidarity, and the promotion of justice in our communities.

The Foundation University Law Forum Council (FULFC), under the guidance and supervision of Atty. Jesus Ramon M. Quevenco, LLM, the Dean of the College of Law and Jurisprudence and the Council's adviser, has participated in the General Campus Organization Assembly held on September 23, 2026, at Sofia Soller Sinco Hall, which gathered student organization officers and faculty advisers in pursuit of stronger collaboration, active student leadership, and a more empowered campus community.

The highlight of the event was the Official Oath-Taking Ceremony, formally marking the assumption of responsibility of student organization officers and affirming their commitment to service, integrity, accountability, and meaningful leadership within the University community.

After months of preparation, countless sacrifices, sleepless nights, and moments of doubt, you have finally reached the end of the Examination.

Today, we celebrate not just the end of an examination, but the strength, courage, and perseverance that brought you to this moment. You showed up, you fought through, and you finished strong.

And just like that the 2026 Bar Examinations are finally over!

For the past several years, life has revolved around one goal. Every class attended, every case read, every recitation survived, and every sacrifice made was a step toward this moment. There were days filled with confidence and days overshadowed by doubt, but through it all, you continued moving forward.

Today, you close a chapter that demands discipline, resilience, and an extraordinary amount of faith. Not faith that the journey would be easy, but faith that it would be worth it.

As the examination halls empty and the silence settles in, take a moment to appreciate what this truly means. You answered the call of a dream that few dare to pursue, and you saw it through to the very end.

No matter what the results may bring, nothing can change the fact that you were brave enough to begin this journey and strong enough to finish it.

After weeks of preparation and two examinations behind them, our bar takers now face the last hurdle on the road to becoming lawyers. The finish line is in sight, but the mission remains the same, stay focused, trust the process, and give your best until the very end.

Before our Barristers face the Final Day of the Bar Examination, letโ€™s take a moment to look back at a special part of their journey.

During our Bar 2026 Send-Off Ceremony, our Barristers received a heartfelt video message filled with love, encouragement, and prayers from their families, friends, law faculty, fellow law students, and the entire Foundation University community.
