The Silliman University Men’s Glee Club was honored to perform during Silliman Performs @125: Celebrating Gratitude & Hope on August 24 at the Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium.

As Silliman University celebrates its 125th year, we are grateful to be part of this special celebration and to share the stage with fellow Sillimanians in an evening filled with music, gratitude, and hope.

REMEMBERING DR. HORACE B. SILLIMAN

The Silliman University Men's Glee Club was grateful to be part of the Floral Offering for Dr. Horace B. Silliman held on August 24 at Silliman Hall.

Through our music, we joined the Silliman community in remembering the man whose vision and generosity became the foundation of what Silliman University is today.

It was a meaningful morning of remembrance and gratitude as we honored the legacy of our University’s founder.

Fresh from receiving the Outstanding Community Leadership recognition at the Negros Young Heroes Awards, we are grateful for another opportunity to share our music, brotherhood, and passion for singing as we celebrate 125 years of Silliman University.

Under the musical direction of Asst. Prof. Nathaniel Bicoy, we join fellow Silliman performers in an evening of music, movement, gratitude, and hope. 🎶

🏆 MONTH OF JULY HIGHLIGHTS

A significant milestone for the Silliman University Men's Glee Club for being recognized as a Community Exemplar Awardee during the 6th Negros Young Heroes: Gawad Parangal Para sa Kabataan, held on July 25, 2026, at Sofia Soller Sinco Hall, Foundation University.

This recognition honored the group's dedication to community service, leadership, and artistic excellence through choral music. It stood as a testament to the collective passion and commitment of our members in making a meaningful impact both within and beyond the university.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Director, Asst. Prof. Nathaniel Bicoy, for his steadfast leadership and unwavering dedication to the organization. Also, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Silliman University and the Silliman University Culture and Arts Council for their continued trust and support of our mission. Our deepest thanks also go to Gaba-an Youth Lead (GYL) for this distinguished recognition, to Foundation University for graciously hosting the event, and to the organizers of the 6th Negros Young Heroes for making this meaningful celebration possible.

Finally, we dedicate this recognition to every member of the Silliman University Men's Glee Club, our alumni, families, friends, and all who have continuously supported and believed in our journey. This honor belongs to all of us.

🎼 MONTH OF JULY HIGHLIGHTS

Every performance tells a story, and the month of July marked the beginning of another meaningful chapter for the Silliman University Men's Glee Club.

We were honored to perform during the All-University Academic Convocation, celebrating the opening of the 2026–2027 Academic Year of Silliman University.

As we look back on this memorable occasion, we remain committed to carrying our tradition of excellence, brotherhood, and service through music.
