Fitz-Gibbon Academy of Skills and Trades (FAST) Inc. successfully conducted the Training Induction Program (TIP) for its TESDA scholars at Heart Hotel, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The activity formally welcomed the trainees enrolled in Bookkeeping NC III (Batch 3), Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing NC II (Batches 2 and 3), and Trainers Methodology Level I (Batch 2) as they begin their skills training journey.

The program was graced by TESDA Negros Oriental Provincial Director Fletcher B. Gumahad, who served as the resource speaker during the orientation. In his message, he emphasized the importance of “accountability”, reminding all scholars that receiving a TESDA scholarship comes with the responsibility to attend training regularly, participate actively, and give their best throughout the program. He encouraged every trainee to value the opportunity given to them and to remain committed to completing their chosen qualifications.

Director Gumahad also highlighted that TESDA scholarship programs are anchored on the goal of generating TRABAHO (employment) for every Filipino. Through quality technical education and skills development, TESDA equips individuals with industry-relevant competencies that open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and better livelihood opportunities.

As a TESDA-accredited training institution, Fitz-Gibbon Academy of Skills and Trades (FAST) Inc. remains committed to providing quality training, producing competent and globally competitive graduates, and helping build a skilled workforce that contributes to national development.

The Training Induction Program (TIP) for Bookkeeping NC III (Batch 1) and Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing (Batch 1) NC II, conducted under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), serves as a vital orientation session designed to ensure that trainees clearly understand the program’s objectives, policies, and expectations.

This induction enables participants to become familiar with the training environment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) guidelines, and the benefits provided under the TWSP. The TIP was facilitated by the TESDA Provincial Director, Fletcher B. Gumahad. Following the induction, Mrs. Angelica A. Zambrano (bookkeeping trainer) and Dr. Michael A. Guiuan (EPAS trainer) met with their respective trainees to provide guidance on creating their accounts in the BSRS.
