SCHOLARSHIP ALERT ๐
Aspiring Filipino science scholars may begin submitting their applications for the 2027 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarships on August 17, 2026.
The online application period will remain open until September 17, 2026, while qualified applicants are scheduled to take the scholarship examination on November 14 and 15, 2026. Applications will be processed through the official DOST-SEI S&T Undergraduate Scholarships portal.
The opportunity is open to Grade 12 students graduating in School Year 2026โ2027 who belong to the STEM strand. Students from non-STEM strands may apply when they belong to the upper 5% of their graduating class. Previous Grade 12 graduates who have not yet enrolled in college may also apply when they satisfy the applicable STEM or non-STEM requirements.
Successful qualifiers may receive:
โข Up to โฑ40,000 per academic year for tuition and other school fees when enrolled in a private institution
โข โฑ10,000 per academic year for learning materials or connectivity
โข โฑ8,000 monthly living allowance
โข โฑ1,000 clothing allowance during the first semester of the first year
โข One economy-class round-trip transportation allowance for eligible scholars studying outside their home province
โข Group health and accident insurance
โข โฑ10,000 thesis allowance
โข โฑ1,000 graduation allowance
โข Research dissemination assistance of up to โฑ50,000, subject to evaluation and approval.
Scholars must pursue an approved priority science and technology degree at the University of the Philippines, a state university or college, or an eligible private institution whose chosen priority program meets DOST-SEIโs required CHED or FAAP recognition.
Interested students should use the days before August 17 to prepare their school certifications, identification records, proof of income when applicable, and other documentary requirements listed by DOST-SEI.
