📣𝑨𝑳𝑼𝑴𝑵𝑰 𝑯𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻📣

We are incredibly proud to shine our Alumni Spotlight on Joemari Lo, a recent graduate who earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Asian College, Dumaguete City in May 2026!

Joemari’s journey is a fantastic testament to what happens when you combine problem-solving skills with a highly self-motivated mindset! During his time with us, he didn't just excel in the classroom; he went above and beyond, ultimately being named the BSCS-Intern of the Year.

Here are a few major highlights from his impressive academic and professional journey:

🔷𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 & 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧: Joemari was the Grand Winner of PitchUp Solutions 2024 (Phase 2), an event hosted by the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation and Google Developer Groups Bacolod.

🔷𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫: He secured 2nd Runner Up for "Project FLARE" at the DOST VII Pitch Up Challenge 2025 and placed in the Top 3 for FinTech at the DOST VIII Innovation and Technology Transfer Summit 2025.

🔷𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫: For their Capstone Research Project, they developed Knapsack Arsenal, a brilliant turn-based game that doubles as a supplementary language learning resource by having players form words to defeat in-game enemies!

Today, Joemari is making major waves in the local tech industry through his work with the startup Dinky! As a Jr. React Native Developer right here in Dumaguete City, he plays a crucial role in maintaining and scaling this innovative, player-first mobile app.

Dinky is revolutionizing the local sports scene by allowing users to seamlessly book pickleball courts, organize open-play sessions, and manage digital payments without the hassle of messy group chats or phone calls.
