Today, we celebrate Deaf Awareness Day!

Letโ€™s take this day as a reminder to learn, listen, and understand the experiences of the Deaf community. Small stepsโ€”like learning Sign Language, being patient in communication, and making spaces more accessibleโ€”can make a big difference.

Today, we celebrate the International Day of Peace, a reminder that peace begins with understanding, compassion, and respect for one another. Let us choose kindness over conflict and work together to create a world where everyone can live with dignity.

May we be the reason peace grows, one small act at a time.

National Heroes Day is an opportunity to commemorate the men and women who fought for the liberty and soul of our nation. True respect goes beyond retelling their sacrificesโ€”it means celebrating and carrying forward the values they embodied.

Heroes today may not sacrifice their lives, fight in wars, or receive public recognition. Yet, the spirit of heroism lives on in the small choices we make: choosing what is right when we have the freedom to do otherwise, being a source of peace and comfort to those in need of a kind word or deed, and serving our community and its stakeholders for the common good. These quiet sacrifices strengthen our communities and inspire others to do the same.

As Sillimanians, we promise to uphold these values in our daily livesโ€”to remain committed to social service and to live out the values of our community. We honor the achievements and sacrifices of our heroes, while looking toward the future by becoming true partners in creating a legacy worthy of our history.

Happy National Heroes Day! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

The EDSA People Power Revolution remains a cornerstone of Philippine history, standing as a powerful testament to what a nation can achieve when it stands united against injustice.

Marking its 40th anniversary today, we remember the bravery of the Filipinos who came together to reclaim their democracy, reminding us all that collective action is a force for real change.

In honoring the legacy of the EDSA revolution, let us remain committed to defending the truth and preserving the democratic values we hold.
