On December 17, 2025, 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 commenced 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐲: Phase 1, an initiative rooted in gratitude and generosity that aimed to promote 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟒: 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 by motivating and encouraging the children to value learning, with the belief that every child deserves moments of joy and kindness.

With the upcoming New Year, the initiative also sought to inspire young learners to embrace new beginnings, set dreams, and look forward to a brighter future. Through this effort, the team gave back to the community by sharing gifts and creating meaningful moments with the children of Poblacion, Sibulan, filling the day with laughter, warmth, and smiles.

On 29 November 2025, from 0600H to 1000H, the SU ROTC Unit held its second training session of the second semester at the Cimafranca Filomena Ballfield. This training focused on preparing for the RAATI Inspection, an annual regional event, with military tactics emphasizing tactical inspection, ceremonial parade and review, M16 assembly and disassembly, company drills, map reading, a theoretical exam, first aid, small unit tactics (SUT), terrorist teams, and knot tying.

During the session, cadets were briefed on the key expectations, flow, and possible activities of the RAATI inspection. Several officers demonstrated specific procedures and tactical components to give the unit a clearer understanding of the required standards. The map reading activity also allowed cadets to apply practical navigation skills such as identifying terrain features, interpreting topographic maps, and determining coordinates using a compass, skills essential for field operations and tactical movement. The training served as an orientation and familiarization period, allowing cadets to observe, note critical details, and mentally prepare for the upcoming inspection’s demands. Through these explanations and demonstrations, the SU ROTC unit gained a more comprehensive view of the tasks ahead, laying the groundwork for more intensive practical training in the following weeks.

On November 22, 2025, the Silliman University ROTC Unit conducted its inaugural training session for the second semester at the Filomena Cimafranca Ballfield. The activities included a comprehensive reorientation for cadets and registration for NSTP enrollment, ensuring all participants are well-informed of the ROTC regulations to be strictly implemented throughout the semester.

Following the reorientation, cadets engaged in manual of arms drills to improve rifle handling skills, with a focus on precision and coordination. Additionally, an introduction to RAATI tactics was provided. Instructors, with the assistance of cadet officers, finalized a list of cadets from each company to participate in ceremonial drills, knot-tying, rifle assembly and disassembly, and platoon and squad tactics. These exercises serve as preparation for the upcoming tactical inspection of the SU ROTC unit, scheduled this semester.
