𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗠𝗗𝗖 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗔

The Metro Dumaguete College community proudly congratulates the MDC Women’s Sepak Takraw Team for their outstanding achievement during the 2026 National PRISAA held from May 5–18 in Bacolod City. Representing the Negros Island Region, the team showcased exceptional athleticism, discipline, teamwork, and determination throughout the national competition. Competing against some of the strongest teams in the country, the athletes successfully secured the Silver Medal in the Women’s Sepak Takraw Regu Category after an intense championship match against Region 12. Adding to their remarkable performance, the team also earned the Bronze Medal in the Quadrant Category, further proving their excellence and dedication to the sport.

The women’s sepak takraw team was composed of Bandosa A. Cielo, Rhoda Moreño, Mathet Francisco Ambo, Jean Paner, and Rica Jay Ann Gardose, who all displayed incredible passion, resilience, and sportsmanship in every match. Their success would not have been possible without the guidance and support of their coach, Emerose Pilongo, together with assistant coaches Desther Kent Justo and Carl Soprito, whose leadership and commitment greatly contributed to the team’s achievement.

Metro Dumaguete College proudly celebrates this milestone as a testament to the hard work and perseverance of its student-athletes and coaching staff. The entire MDC community commends the team for bringing pride and honor not only to the institution but also to the Negros Island Region. Their achievement serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes and reflects the school’s continuing commitment to excellence in sports and holistic student development.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | 𝗠𝗗𝗖 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀

Metro Dumaguete College proudly celebrates the success of its passers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

The College produced 𝟵 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 following the release of the official examination results.

Nine (9) out of ten (10) MDC alumni examinees successfully passed the examination, resulting in a 90.00% passing rate for first-time takers and a 𝟵𝟬.𝟬𝟬% 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲.

Notably, eight of the examinees belong to the pioneering batch of the Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) major in Computer Hardware Servicing, marking another historic milestone for the institution.

This achievement reflects Metro Dumaguete College’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission to produce competent, dedicated, and globally competitive educators.

WHAT A RUN! WHAT A DAY!

Yesterday, April 19, 2026, the Pantawan was filled with energy, excitement, and purpose as Metro Dumaguete College through the MDCian Student Government successfully held the MaDaCigong Dagan 2026: Para sa Ugma nga Limpyo ug Hapsay nga Kalibutan!

From sunrise sprints to strong finishes along Rizal Boulevard, every step was powered by passion - for fitness, for community, and for our environment. The vibe was electric, the smiles were contagious, and the commitment to a cleaner, greener future was stronger than ever!

Huge shoutout to all our runners, organizers, volunteers, and partners. You made this event unforgettable! Because of you, this wasn’t just a fun run… it was a full-on movement for change, supporting Project EcoBin and promoting a zero-waste lifestyle.

All submissions for the 3-Year Diploma Program scholarship applications as well as inquiries will now be accommodated at the new office location in Campus 2.
