DRESS CODE POLICY

“Safety First” Policy for Entry to the 4th Floor, ST Building – MC2 Department of Chemistry

Minimum Required Attire

1. Closed shoes are mandatory at all times.
Shoes must fully cover the feet.
Slippers, sandals, open-toe footwear, high heels, and barefoot entry are prohibited.

2. Appropriate clothing must be worn.
Clothing must adequately cover the torso, shoulders, and legs.
Shorts, mini-skirts, ripped clothing with excessive skin exposure, and overly loose garments are prohibited in laboratory areas.

3. Long hair must be properly tied.
Hair that may contact chemicals, flames, instruments, or moving equipment must be secured.

4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be worn when required.
Laboratory gown or lab coat
Safety goggles
Gloves
Face mask or respirator when applicable

5. Accessories that may pose hazards are discouraged.
Dangling jewelry, loose neckties, scarves, and similar items that may catch fire or become entangled should not be worn.

Restricted Entry
Persons not complying with the prescribed safety attire may be denied entry to laboratories, instrumentation rooms, chemical storage areas, and related facilities on the 4th Floor.

Scope
This policy applies to ALL.

“Safety First” is the governing principle of all activities within the MC2 Department of Chemistry.

The session covered important details about the Chemist Licensure Exam (CLE) and Chemical Technician Licensure Exam (CTLE), along with the review packages offered by QRC.
