A Multi- Sectoral Forum on the National Competition Policy and Competition Advocacy Pledge is held today in Dumaguete City organized by the Philippine Competition Commission in partnership with the Department of Economy Planning and Development (DEPDev)NIR, Department of Trade and Industry NIR and Negros Oriental State University.

NORSU officials Dr. Lovely R.Tinguha, Dean of the College of Business Administration and Dr.Dee Laila C.Buhian, Acting Human Resource Management Officer and faculty delivered a talk on Market Competition and its Benefits and Mainstreaming the National Competition Policy respectively. Dr.Mary Monette W. Diputado from the CBA hosted the event.

University President Dr.Noel Marjon E.Yasi delivered the Closing Remarks during the forum.

The Philippine Competition Commission is an independent ,quasi- judicial body whuch aims to promote abd maintain market competition within the Philippines by regulating anti-competition behavior. It's main role is to promote economic efficiency within the Philippine economy,ensuring fair and healthy market competition.

Based on the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), NORSU achieved an 80.95% passing rate among first-time takers, surpassing the national passing rate of 56.82%.

NORSU proudly celebrates the newly licensed geodetic engineers and commends the College of Engineering and Architecture for this remarkable achievement.
