As part of our continuing commitment to the safety and wellโ€‘being of every Sillimanian, we encourage everyone to take a moment to read the poster and familiarize yourselves with the Run, Hide, Fight protocol. Understanding these steps is an act of care for yourself and for the people around you.

Recent events have reminded us that preparedness is not fear. Preparedness is clarity. It is calm. It is choosing to respond with presence rather than panic.

RUN when there is a safe path to leave.
HIDE when evacuation is not possible, and keep your space secure and silent.
FIGHT only when your life is in immediate danger and no other option remains.

If law enforcement arrives, keep your hands visible, follow their instructions, and avoid sudden movements. These small actions help responders protect you more effectively.

Let us continue looking out for one another. Let us stay attentive, compassionate, and informed. Your safety matters deeply to us, and we are here to guide you through moments that feel heavy or unclear.
