PARTNERSHIP SEALED:
ISU Santiago City, ISUE- CAS & DepEd Santiago City Forge New Path for 2026!
April 22, 2026 — Isabela State University (ISU) and the DepEd Schools Division Office of Santiago City officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to drive academic excellence and inclusive communication through two flagship projects of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS):
1. Project ReSEARCH
Spearheaded by the Department of Languages and Literature and led by Dr. Melito D. Mayormente, the ISU Santiago Coordinator, this initiative empowers educators from participating schools with high-level skills in research conceptualization, data analysis, and scholarly publication.
2. Project ISU GREEN-AIR Radio
An innovative broadcast platform involving the Department of Communication and Media Studies to provide inclusive education and real-time community networking, ensuring no learner is left behind.
The ceremony was led by top officials from both institutions:
For ISU: ISU President, Prof. Dr. Boyet L. Batang alongside, Dr. Artemio A. Martin Jr. the Executive Officer, Dr. Ferdinand Bulusan, University Director for Extension, Dr. Irma T. Plata, the Campus Director for Extension and Training Services, Dr. Ma. theresa L. Eustaquio, the Campus Director for Research and Development, and Dr. Juanito P. Tandoc Jr., the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
For DepEd SDO Santiago City: Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rachel R. Llana, CESO V, along with Assistant Superintendents Dr. Mary Julie A. Trus and Dr. Wilma C. Bumagat, and CID Chief Dr. Marietess B. Baquiran.
The collaboration extends to various schools within the division, including:
Santiago City NHS, Rizal NHS, Patul NHS, Sagana NHS, Cabulay HS, Divisoria HS, Rosario NHS, Sinili IS, and Salvador IS.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in ISU CAS's commitment to social transformation and "SMART-Green" education!
