Courtesy Call with Hon. Edgar S. Lignes, City Mayor of El Salvador City

The officers of the City College of El Salvador LGBTQIA+ Organization (CCELO) Conducted a courtesy call with Hon. Edgar S. Lignes, City Mayor of El Salvador City, to discuss the organization’s upcoming activities and planned initiatives, including the HIV Symposium, Clean-Up Drive, Funtrams, and Christmas Party.

Representing the organization were:

The visit aimed to seek the support of the City Government in promoting inclusivity, awareness, and active community participation among the youth of El Salvador City. 🌈🤝✨

The City College of El Salvador LGBTQIA+ Organization (CCELO) successfully held its first general meeting on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Discourse Domain. The event welcomed LGBTQIA+ students from various academic programs, marking a fresh chapter in fostering inclusivity and safe spaces on campus.

The meeting was led by the newly appointed CCELO adviser, Ma’am Israel Perez of the Bachelor of Arts in English Language program, alongside Sir Gervon Cornelios,CCE Planning Director, former CCELO adviser, and current President of the Alumni Association Lloyd Gabule. The session opened with a presentation of the organization's Constitution and By-Laws by former president Pressy Val, outlining the rules and policies that guide the organization.

🏳️‍🌈CCELO expressed its gratitude to the college administration for its continued support in acknowledging and empowering LGBTQIA+ voices. A new set of officers for the academic year
2025–2026 was also elected during the assembly:
