ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Heartiest Congratulations to Dr. Dorothy D. Manalansan, Faculty of the College of Industrial Education, TUP Manila, for being elected as the New Treasurer of the Philippine Association for Technology in Home Economics of State Colleges and Universities (PATHESCU), Inc. The election was one of the highlights during the 27th PATHESCU, Inc. Annual National Conference held last July 18-19, 2026, in Iloilo City. As chosen by most of the members and officials, her appointment reflects the trust and confidence of the organization in her steadfast leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence.

As the newly elected Treasurer, Dr. Manalansan is entrusted to oversee the financial stewardship of the organization and shall ensure accountability, responsibility, and transparency in managing the resources of PATHESCU in achieving its mission and goals.

Dr. Manalansan’s commitment, qualities, and professional expertise will make a remarkable contribution to the continued growth and success of the organization, as well as to the TUP community. We hope and pray for her every success as she embarks on this important leadership role and look forward to her valuable contribution.
