Pinangunahan ng Tanggapan ng Bise Tsanselor para sa Pananaliksik at Ekstensyon ang ginanap na Seremonya ng Pagtataas ng Watawat noong ika-12 ng Mayo 2026 sa Joaquin Gonzales Compound, kasabay ng paggunita sa Araw ng mga Ina.

Tampok sa seremonya ang temang, “𝗜𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻, 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗼: 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗮,” bilang pagkilala sa walang kapantay na pagmamahal, sakripisyo, at lakas ng mga ina at ng lahat ng nagsisilbing ina sa tahanan man, sa trabaho, o sa komunidad.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni Bise Tsanselor Leslie Michelle M. Dalmacio ang pagpupugay hindi lamang sa mga ina, kundi maging sa mga taong katuwang nila sa pag-aaruga at pagpapalaki ng pamilya, mga tumatayong gabay, sandigan, at katuwang upang maging magaan ang pagganap sa mahalagang papel ng pagiging isang ina.

Ibinahagi rin niya ang kahalagahan ng mga programa at serbisyong ipinagkakaloob ng UP Manila na sumusuporta sa kapakanan at pangangailangan ng mga ina at ng buong pamilya, tulad ng Creche and Child Development Center, na nagsisilbing malaking tulong upang mas mapagsabay ng mga magulang ang kanilang tungkulin sa tahanan at sa propesyon.

Naging makabuluhan ang seremonya bilang paalala ng kahalagahan ng malasakit, pagkakaisa, at pagkilala sa mga taong araw-araw na nagsisilbing ilaw ng tahanan at inspirasyon ng lipunan.

Much like the squeezing of the sphygmomanometer rubber bulb, the gap in hypertension diagnosis should be consistently pushed toward sustainable healthcare. This is supported by the new publications from UP Manila authors that present important strategies for hypertension care, including strengthening detection, elevating quality care, empowering health workers with digital tools, and securing funding for long-term programs.
