⚡️ ANOTHER YEAR OF BRAINSTORM ⚡️
On March 21, 2026, the skies open once more as BRAINSTORM 2026: The 31st Inter-Medical School Quiz Show roars to life at Robinsons Place Manila. What began three decades ago continues as a defining test of wit, will, and wisdom, bringing together the nation’s brightest medical students for a battle of knowledge under pressure. 🧠⚡
This year, 24 teams composed of future doctors from across the country gathered for another high-stakes showdown of recall, reasoning, and strategy, each determined to claim the title of BRAINSTORM 2026 Champion. 🏆

The program was hosted by Martine Rosete μΣΦ 2029 and Carlo Amigable ΜΣΦ 2029, and formally opened with the Philippine National Anthem and Doxology, followed by opening remarks from Yanyan Cacacho μΣΦ 2026.
The quiz show was graced by our distinguished panel of judges, led by Dr. Albert Tiotuyco ΜΣΦ 1987, alongside Dr. Ricardo Manalastas Jr. ΜΣΦ 1983A, Dr. Sybil Lizanne Bravo µΣΦ 1997, Dr. Emilio Villanueva III, Dr. Carol Stephanie Tan-Lim, Dr. Benjamin Sablan, Dr. Maria Stella Giron, and Dr. Karl Matthew Sy Su whose expertise and insight ensured a rigorous and fair competition.
Serving as quizmasters for the event were Sophie Chu μΣΦ 2029 and Hans Carinungan ΜΣΦ 2029, who guided the contestants through the Elimination Round, designed to test depth of medical knowledge and determine the top teams advancing to the Championship Round.
The teams who advanced to the final round were:
DLSMHSI Team 1, DLSMHSI Team 2, ASMPH Team 1, GCM Team 2, and SBCM Team 1.
The Championship Round followed a Jeopardy-style format, featuring five core categories: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Therapeutics. After an intense battle of minds, SBCM Team 1 emerged victorious as the BRAINSTORM 2026 Champion, followed by ASMPH Team 1 and DLSMHSI Team 2.
Closing remarks were delivered by Fort De Guzman ΜΣΦ 2026, followed by the awarding ceremony led by Biancs Camacho μΣΦ 2029 and Diego Llamzon ΜΣΦ 2028, together with the BRAINSTORM 2026 heads, Camille Cadag μΣΦ 2029, Eli Peralta μΣΦ 2029, and Dine Gunnacao ΜΣΦ 2029, joined by the hosts and esteemed judges.
Once again, congratulations to all the winners and participants of BRAINSTORM 2026. More than a competition, BRAINSTORM remains a testament to Mu Sigma Phi’s enduring commitment to Scholarship, and uniting future physicians through spirited and meaningful competition.
The skies may calm, for now.
