Today, we honor the sacrifices, contributions, and courage of every great Filipino who helped create the peace and freedom we enjoy today. But beyond the great names written in history books are our modern-day heroesโ€”ordinary Filipino citizens whose courage, kindness, and sacrifices continue to shape our nation.

From our parents, teachers, firefighters, farmers, and workers, to every Filipino who chooses to help, stand up, and do what is right. You, too, are a hero.

Being a hero is not always about winning battles or creating something grand. Most of the time, heroes are those who quietly work and sacrifice for the betterment of their families, communities, and country, asking for nothing in return.

They say a good teacher makes a subject easier to understand, but a great teacher makes the classroom a place you actually look forward to. That's you, Sir. Between the jokes that are so corny they somehow become funny again, and the easy, no-pressure energy you bring, class is never boring.

What we'll remember most, though, isn't just what came from the textbooks. It's the honest, real-world advice you've dropped along the way โ€” the kind that sticks with us long after the semester ends. You've shown us that learning doesn't have to feel heavy, and that a classroom can still feel like home.
