Proud fills the air as ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข ๐. ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐จ, a 1st Year BS Electrical Engineering student, earned 3rd Place in the WMC Year 2 Feature-Editorial Writing Competition. Her entry, โmodernong BABAEylan: AKO YAN!โ, delivered a powerful message on the strength, identity, and significance of women, drawing inspiration from the babaylan as a symbol of wisdom, courage, and leadership
With thoughtful writing and a strong sense of purpose, her piece reflected the courage of women in different realities of life while drawing inspiration from the image of the babaylan as a symbol of wisdom, strength, and leadership. Held as part of the Womenโs Month Celebration Year 2, the competition recognized works that gave life to womenโs voices and experiences, and Zareinaโs achievement shows that excellence can shine not only in technical fields but also in writing and creative expression.
As a student of Electrical Engineering, she has proven that passion and talent can go beyond formulas and classrooms, bringing pride to her program and serving as an inspiration to fellow students.
