The Official Sashing Ceremony of Miss MSU 2026 took place at the Audio-Visual Room, Library, Mindanao State University – General Santos.

Representing eight colleges and one department, nine empowered women proudly carry the names and aspirations of their respective communities. United by their diverse advocacies, they stand as voices of the future, committed to upholding culture, preserving traditions, and pursuing excellence.

With their sashes, they carry the pride of their homes and purpose.

𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧 ✊

September 21 marks a significant chapter in Philippine history. On this day in 1972, Proclamation No. 1081 placed the country under Martial Law. Today, September 21 is commemorated as the National Day of Protest, recognizing the importance of people’s rights to expression, peaceful assembly, and participation in matters that affect their communities.

For agriculture, these rights carry a particular weight. The fields we see are not merely spaces for production. They are sources of food, livelihood, culture, and community!

As the Philippines pursues new paths toward industrialization, technology, and economic growth, including developments such as Pax Silica, the agricultural sector reminds us of an important question: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱?

Progress should invite conversation. Development should make room for those affected by it. And meaningful change begins when we are willing to listen—to the people, to their stories, and to the land that sustains us.

The College of Agriculture student leaders gathered for the 3rd Student Leadership Summit and Well-being Forum on September 18, 2026, at the AVR Library, MSU-General Santos.

With the theme “Rehumanizing Leadership, Rebuilding Communities,” the summit brought together student leaders to engage in meaningful discussions on leadership, well-being, and the importance of building stronger and more compassionate community leaders.

𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 | Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness, Revised IP Policy Dissemination, and Patent Search and Drafting Seminar

The College of Agriculture Students’ Society (CASS), together with COA's assistant Dean–Ma'am Jane Malasador, PhD, ABE, participated in the IP Awareness, Revised IP Policy Dissemination, and Patent Search and Drafting Seminar as part of Mindanao State University–General Santos’ 3rd Research, Extension, and Innovation (REI) Week on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the University Gymnasium.

The seminar aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of Intellectual Property (IP), particularly the university’s revised IP policies, as well as the processes involved in patent searching and drafting. It highlights the University’s continued efforts to foster a culture of research, extension, and innovation.

The College of Agriculture Students’ Society (CASS) successfully conducted its 2nd Regular Meeting on September 15, 2026, at Room T1, Tanghal Building.

This brought together CASS officers for discussions concerning key organizational matters and upcoming activities.

With every discussion and decision, CASS continues to build a stronger foundation for meaningful service and effective student leadership. 💚🌱
