Pacific Southbay College, Inc. successfully held the Good Manners and Decorum Seminar 2025 on December 3, 2025, at the PSCI Gymnasium, gathering students from various departments for a meaningful discussion on values essential in todayโs fast-changing society. The event was organized by the Bachelor of Science in Social Work in coordination with the JSWAP PSCI Chapter. With the theme โ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต, ๐๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ๐จ๐ณ๐ช๐ต๐บ, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐ด๐ค๐ช๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ญ๐ฅ,โ the seminar brought together selected students from various programsโincluding BSA, BSMA, BSOA, BSCrim, BSSW, BSTM, BECEd, and BPEDโto deepen their understanding of proper conduct and responsible behavior.
The program opened with a warm welcome message from Johari Macabangin, RSW, JSWAP Moderator, who emphasized the need for students to embody strong values as part of their development both in school and in their future professions. This was followed by a Message of Support from Sir Kenneth D. Claudio, MBM, Vice-President for Academics, who highlighted the importance of ethical behavior, respect, and discipline in shaping students into competent and responsible professionals.
The main highlight of the event was the lecture delivered by Dr. Loveleih G. Quemado, RSW, MSSW, MAEd, BSSW Program Dean. Her talk on Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) emphasized the importance of respect, self-discipline, and integrity in both face-to-face and digital interactions. She also discussed real-life scenarios where values and proper behavior play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and a healthy environment in school and future workplaces.
After the discussion, students participated in an open forum where concerns and questions regarding behavior, values formation, and responsible conduct were addressed. The exchange encouraged students to reflect on their actions and understand their role in promoting a respectful campus culture. The program concluded with the awarding of certificates and a closing remarks.
The Good Manners and Decorum Seminar 2025, organized by the BSSW Program, stands as a continuing effort of PSCI to empower its learners not only academically but also morallyโshaping them into disciplined, respectful, and value-driven individuals prepared to face the challenges of the modern world.
