Following the devastating Magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao last June 8, the Engineering Students Organization (ESO) is actively raising funds and collecting in-kind donations to support our fellow students and individuals who are currently in urgent need of assistance.

Your contributions will directly fuel our ongoing outreach operations and allow us to extend our reach and support more students and their families across Sarangani and GenSan during these challenging times. With the earthquake bringing destructive ground shaking to General Santos City, our community needs us now more than ever.

Following the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Southern Mindanao, the Municipality of Glan, Sarangani Province is among the areas greatly affected. Lives have been lost, families have been displaced, and many communities are in urgent need of assistance.

Today, we appeal to your compassion.

Kidlikasan is launching "𝗗𝗢-𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻," a donation drive aimed at providing immediate assistance to the residents of 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗸 𝗝𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗼, 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝘂 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗹𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻, 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶, who were severely affected by the 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 7.8 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 on June 8, 2026. Beyond being members of the community, many of these families are mangrove heroes and environmental stewards.

Now, many are facing damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and limited access to basic necessities. We call on everyone to join us in supporting those most in need.

The 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗝𝗣𝗦𝗠𝗘 𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗚𝗦𝗖) was named 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 at the Kabantugan Awards 2026. Held last Saturday night, May 30, 2026, at the Laktanan Wellness Park, the Supreme Student Council hosted the event to gather representatives from various nominated student groups and recognize campus leadership, service, and organizational impact.

The distinction in research underscores the organization’s focus on promoting technical innovation and student-led scientific inquiry. Moving forward, JPSME MSU GSC remains committed to providing mechanical engineering students with the resources and avenues necessary to develop practical, research-driven solutions to industry and community challenges.
