The Junior Economics Society is here to remind our dear Econ Students that the Preliminary Exam is set to take place this coming first week of August!

Indeed, friends, the time we have been economically allocating our study sessions for is finally here.😭

It’s now time to invest in your notes, maximize your studying and minimize procrastination since sadly enough “I will study tomorrow” is not a viable economic approach.

Recall that your efforts today represent investment for your future gains. So review your lessons, exercise your graphs, understand your theories and please, for the love of Adam Smith, don’t leave your studying for the last day!

You can do this, Econ Students! Study well, drink a lot and keep your marginal utility of sleep on a decent level.

Study wisely. Remain calm. Take good decisions.
May your answers be right, your computations be precise and your exam results grow only positively!

𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗖𝗨𝗖

On July 10, 2026, the Program Head, the faculty, and JES officers of the Economics Program had the pleasure of witnessing the blessing and turnover of Academic Building 2.

This achievement will enable the college to fully maximize the learning facilities of Gingoog City United Colleges and make it the most efficient learning place for students, faculty members, and employees. The new infrastructure will be a testament to the vision and excellence of GCUC.

The entire Tribu Ekonomista would like to extend our appreciation to all those who made this possible, as well as to the government officials of the Local Government Unit of Gingoog City for their vision and dedication to making this project successful.

Yesterday, June 23, 2026, Gingoog City United Colleges officially commenced its program-based Onboarding Activity. The Bachelor of Arts in Economics freshmen were oriented on the school's policies, important reminders, and the Vision and Mission of GCUC.

Mrs. Joan Tirariray, LPT, Director of Student Affairs and Services, emphasized the crucial role of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) and its commitment to supporting students throughout their academic journey.

The officers of the Junior Economics Society (JES) were also introduced as the official student organization of the Economics Department. In addition, the freshmen officially elected their 1st Year Representative, marking the beginning of their active participation in student leadership and departmental affairs.

Welcome to the BA Economics family, freshmen! Wishing you a meaningful and successful college journey ahead.
