Congratulations to the College of Engineering and Computational Sciences of Partido State University for the successful evaluation of the Master of Information Technology (MIT) Program by the Technical Panel of the Information Technology Program of the Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

This milestone highlights the collective effort and dedication of the CEC community in upholding academic quality and continuous program development. The activity was led by Engr. Emelina R. Padayao, Dean of CEC, together with Dr. Kennedy C. Cuya, Graduate Program Coordinator of the MIT Program, whose leadership ensured a well-coordinated and meaningful evaluation process.

CEC also expresses its sincere appreciation to the CHED OPSD Technical Panel for their time, expertise, and valuable recommendations, as well as to the faculty, staff, and partners who contributed to the success of this evaluation.

As ParSU moves forward, it remains steadfast in its mission to deliver relevant, high-quality education and to continuously enhance its graduate programs for the benefit of its learners and the community it serves.

Earlier today, Partido State University–Goa Campus received a bomb threat, prompting the immediate activation of safety and security protocols, including the evacuation of students, employees, and other stakeholders.

The Goa Municipal Police Station, the Goa Bureau of Fire Protection, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit, the PNP Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group, and the Goa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted a comprehensive, methodical sweep of the entire campus, prioritizing the safety and security of everyone. Upon thorough completion, 𝐧𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.

To further strengthen campus security, 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬. This measure ensures better monitoring, enforcement of security protocols, and safeguarding of the entire campus community. Additionally, tightened security checks will be implemented across all ParSU campuses to ensure the continued safety of everyone.

We emphasize that the University takes safety concerns seriously and approaches all threats with the utmost diligence. 𝐀𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐨𝐦𝐛 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨-𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 “𝐣𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬” 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲. Under Presidential Decree No. 1727, false alarms and bomb threats are criminal offenses that carry serious legal consequences, including fines and/or imprisonment, and are treated with the full force of the law. Beyond legal penalties, these actions endanger lives, cause widespread disruption, and divert critical emergency resources needed to protect the community. They are never to be taken lightly.

An ongoing investigation involving a thorough review of all available evidence, careful assessment of the threat, and systematic follow-up to identify those responsible is being conducted. The University remains fully committed to assisting authorities throughout the investigation, taking all necessary steps to ensure that those responsible for this incident are identified and held liable.

We also remind everyone to exercise caution and refrain from sharing misinformation or unverified content. Spreading false or unconfirmed information can trigger panic, fear, and confusion, potentially compromising emergency response efforts and the safety of our community.

We sincerely thank our students, employees, and stakeholders for their cooperation, and we commend our emergency responders for their swift action.
