5. Time-In (At 1:00 PM):

* After the event ends at 5:00 PM, return to the page.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XVIII – Negros Island Region (NIR) is now accepting applications for the Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho).

🎓 WHO MAY APPLY?

Qualified and deserving coconut farmers duly registered in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) and their dependents.

Eligible student-applicants must be currently enrolled in any CHED-recognized program. Student-applicants from Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor are eligible to apply.

📌𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒

Applicants must:

1️⃣ Be a Filipino citizen;

2️⃣ Be any of the following:
• A graduating senior high school student, senior high school graduate, or Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduate with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% or its equivalent; OR
• A college student with earned academic units in the degree programs identified by the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), with a GWA of at least 80% in the previous semester or its equivalent;

3️⃣ Be a duly registered coconut farmer in the NCFRS or his/her dependent. Only one qualified family member will be awarded at a time; and

4️⃣ Have a combined annual gross income of parents not exceeding ₱300,000.00.

📄𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦
Applicants must submit the following:

1. Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);
2. Academic Records:
a. For senior high school students – duly certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and first semester of Grade 12;
b. For senior high school graduates – Form 138 or SF 9;
c. For ALS graduates – duly certified true copy of grades for Grade 12;
d. For applicants with earned units or currently enrolled in college – duly certified copy of grades for the latest semester/term attended;
3. PCA Certification;
4. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the last school attended, applicable to incoming first-year college applicants or transferees;
5. Notice of Admission from the Higher Education Institution (HEI), for incoming first-year college students or transferees;

6. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 – 𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠:
• Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of the applicant and/or spouse/parents/guardians, if employed;
• Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
• Certificate of No Income from the BIR;
• Certificate of Low Income from the BIR indicating the actual amount of income; OR
• Certificate/Case Study from the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (C/MSWDO);

7. Original/certified true copy of certification issued by the HEI certifying that the applicant:
• is currently enrolled in CoScho-identified priority programs; and
• is not enjoying any national government-funded scholarship program (for currently enrolled college students- 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year levels)

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS

🔹 Only online applications shall be accepted.
🔹 All documents must be submitted/uploaded in PDF format.
🔹 Submission of falsified documents, incomplete documents, or wrong documentary requirements will result in automatic disqualification.

Two things to remember:
1. ⏰ Every event/orientation has a closing date. Once it passes, you can't time in, rate, or evaluate anymore. Don't wait.
