The Supreme Student Government of Guihulngan City (SSGGC) took part in the FSSG Election and First FSSG Session held on September 7, 2026, at Negros Oriental State University, Main Campus 1, Dumaguete City.

The election brought new responsibilities for several SSGGC representatives, who were chosen to serve in different positions within the NORSU Federated Supreme Student Government (FSSG).

Hon. Darelle James Montaรฑo was elected as the Senate President Pro Tempore of the FSSG. In the Federation House of Representatives, Hon. Ashley Jane Absin was elected as Speaker Pro Tempore.

Meanwhile, Hon. Cheryl Joy Dela Torre, Hon. Restina Villegas, and Hon. Hanah Mae G. Rosales were elected as members of the Committee on Appointments. Hon. Gwendolyn Montealegre and Hon. Hanah Mae G. Rosales were also elected as members of the Committee on Audit.

Hon. Hannifa Lobo and Hon. Niรฑa Eleonor Gamao were elected as members of the Committee on Impeachment and Disciplinary Action.

The election places SSGGC representatives in key roles across the federation, strengthening Guihulngan Cityโ€™s representation in the university-wide student government.

With the rising temperatures, weโ€™re making a temporary adjustment to the school dress code to help everyone stay cool and comfortable. Check out the guidelines below and make sure to keep it appropriate and within school standards.

โ€ข Tops: Polo shirts, plain/modest t-shirts, and modest-length dresses.
โ€ข Bottoms: Jeans, trousers, and shorts (at least 2 inches above the knee).
โ€ข Footwear: Closed-toe shoes (sneakers, leather shoes) and clean, modest open-toe/closed-toe shoes or sandals.
